Standing on the 1st tee, the Thames Valley spreads out before you and with the River Thames shimmering in the distance, you know there is something special about this course. The downhill Par 4 1st hole leads you to an undulating course with beautiful views throughout the round. The 8th is another stunning hole, this time a Par 3 which takes you down to the lowest point of the course. From there you start to gently wind your way back up to the Clubhouse.

This 6210 yard, Par 70 course remains true to its original design and has many special holes which provide challenges to golfers of all abilities. The 10th, for example, is a long Par 3 with a hidden green sunk down into a bowl and is listed amongst the top 100 most unusual golf holes in the United Kingdom.

Whatever the season, the course always has something very special to offer. Spring has its many shades of green as the leaves burst into life. Summer brings a blaze of colour with the wild flowers including several rare species of wild orchids. In autumn, the varying shades of the countless specimen trees on the course create a simply stunning myriad of colour and due to the fact that it is built on chalk, the course is an excellent winter golfing venue.
